Tools, Rules and FUELS

HOUSE RULES

BE CLEAN
Visually rich environments stimulate creativity. Trash and food remnants don't. Reset +1 every time.

BE SAFE
Nothing is worth permanent injury to yourself or others.

BE NICE
Respect unto others as you would have them respect unto you.

BE GOOD
Re-use everything. Turn off the lights if you're the last one out at night.

ACCESS
You get 24-7 access to the Bay Studio when you pass orientation. You can use classrooms for team work when they are not in use. Reset all spaces every time.

Do not prop doors open. Protect yourself and your belongings. Meeting someone? Ask them to call or text you for access.

Program rooms on the second floor and the first floor huddle rooms are reserved for Teaching Teams and Staff.

RESERVATIONS
Bay Studio team spaces are first-come, first-served.

Need to use a conference phone, conversation space, or studio? Ask to a reserve a space by emailing spaces@dschool.stanford.edu. We'll try to accommodate you if we can.

PRINTING & OTHER TECH
The 2nd floor printer is for student d.school class work. Instructions for setting up printers can be found here.

Loaner camera and sound equipment is available. Contact Bruce Boyd at bruce@dschool.stanford.edu.

WHITEBOARDS
All sliding and rolling whiteboards should be cleaned after each use. No saving.

Short whiteboards stored in the red rolling cards can be claimed by any team. They can be saved by hanging them on a post in the Bay Studio.

MATERIALS
Low-res prototyping materials are available in the open bins in the Bay Studio.

Scavenge and purchase your other materials from outside the d.school.

Respect other people's prototypes. Be sure to label your own. Recycle and remove your prototypes when you're done with them.

TOOLS
Safety first. Use your common sense.

Tools stay in the d.school

Spray paint and spray glue stay outside.

Request tools and learn how to use the ones we have. Contact Charlotte Burgess-Auburn at charlotte@dschool.stanford.edu.
